This Refund and Exchange Policy applies to all purchases made through
www.FixMyFD.com (“Site”). By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.


1) General Policy Overview


Due to the nature of our business—including
drop-shipped equipment, freight delivery, and third-party fulfillment—all sales are subject to the terms outlined below.

Shipping costs are non-refundable, and all approved returns or refunds are subject to a 15% restocking fee, in addition to any associated shipping or freight charges.


2) Eligibility for Returns and Refunds


To be eligible for a return or refund:

  • The return must be approved in writing by FixMyFD.com prior to shipment.
  • The request must be made within 14 calendar days of delivery, unless otherwise required by law.
  • Items must be:
  • Unused, uninstalled, and in original condition
  • In original packaging with all components, accessories, manuals, and documentation


Returns that do not meet these requirements may be refused or subject to additional deductions.


3) Non-Refundable Shipping Costs (Drop-Ship Disclosure)


All shipping costs are non-refundable.
This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Outbound shipping or freight charges
  • Return shipping or freight charges
  • Failed delivery, re-delivery, storage, or carrier accessorial fees


Because many products—particularly
Stay Fresh Freeze Dryers—are drop shipped directly from the manufacturer’s facility in Los Angeles, California, shipping charges are incurred immediately and cannot be recovered once an order is placed.


By completing a purchase, you expressly agree that
shipping charges will not be refunded under any circumstances, except where required by applicable law.


4) Restocking Fee


All approved returns and refunds are subject to a
15% restocking fee, calculated on the original purchase price of the product, not including taxes.

The restocking fee is applied to cover:

  • Manufacturer restocking charges
  • Inspection, handling, and administrative costs
  • Reconditioning and inventory processing


The restocking fee will be deducted from any refunded amount.


5) Refund Amount Calculation


If a return is approved, your refund will be calculated as follows:


Original purchase price
– 15% restocking fee
– all outbound shipping costs
– all return shipping/freight costs
– any additional carrier or handling fees

If shipping or return costs exceed the refundable product value, no refund will be issued.


6) Exchanges


Exchanges are handled as a
return and new purchase.

  • The original item must be returned and approved per this policy.
  • All applicable restocking and shipping fees apply.
  • A new order must be placed for the replacement item, subject to current pricing and availability.


7) Damaged or Defective Items


7.1 Freight Damage

If your item arrives damaged:

  • You must follow the inspection and notation requirements outlined in the Shipping Policy.
  • Damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photos and documentation.
  • Failure to document damage at delivery may void eligibility for replacement or refund.


7.2 Defective Products

If a product is determined to be defective:

  • Manufacturer warranty terms apply, where applicable.
  • FixMyFD.com does not provide independent product warranties unless explicitly stated in writing.
  • Warranty claims may require direct coordination with the manufacturer.


8) Non-Returnable Items


The following items are
non-returnable and non-refundable:

  • Items that have been installed, used, modified, or altered
  • Special-order or custom items
  • Clearance or final-sale items
  • Items returned without prior authorization
  • Items returned damaged due to improper packaging


9) Refused or Undeliverable Shipments


If an order is refused or deemed undeliverable due to customer action or inaction (including failure to schedule freight delivery):

  • The order will be treated as a return.
  • All applicable shipping, return freight, storage, and restocking fees will apply.
  • Any remaining balance, if applicable, will be refunded per this policy.


10) Chargebacks and Payment Disputes


Initiating a chargeback does
not override this policy.

  • Chargebacks related to shipping costs, restocking fees, or buyer’s remorse may be contested with documentation.
  • Customers are encouraged to contact FixMyFD.com before initiating a dispute.
